Improving the standard of tax teaching.
ABOUT US
The Australasian Tax Teachers Association (ATTA) is a non-profit interdisciplinary organisation, with membership comprising of taxation law, accounting and economics academics, writers and administrators from Australia and New Zealand.
Established in 1987, our goal is to improve the standard of tax teaching in educational institutions across Australasia. We organise an annual conference to facilitate open discussion, collaboration and dissemination of tax-related knowledge.
We publish the Journal of the Australasian Tax Teachers Association (JATTA), an electronic double blind peer reviewed journal. JATTA is normally published annually and subsequent to our annual conference. It is common for each issue of JATTA to be based on a theme for which a specific call for papers will be made.
A message from our patron in 2020 on the launch of the ATTA website
The Australasian Tax Teachers Association has launched a web page, and it could not have come at a better time. Tax teachers provide a foundational source of tax knowledge throughout the country for tax professionals, tax students and many members of the public. Their published works are an important way in which we reflect upon and develop tax law, tax practice, and tax administration. The webpage is a significant new means by which the contribution from tax teachers can be disseminated and will continue to influence knowledge, discussion and development of tax in Australia.
